Conner and Marcie love the beach. They’ve spent large parts of their relationship making memories together on the water. Their Carillon beach wedding day was inspired by their love of the ocean and incorporated coastal elements and colors.
A color scheme of green, beige, and white was the perfect complement to the coastal colors of Carillon Beach. Their details were elegant with a hint of personality, like the green goblet glasses they used for cocktail hour or the white rattan furniture in the lounge area.
Rain Couldn’t Stop this Carillon Beach Wedding
After a gorgeous morning where Conner and Marcie got ready under pristine blue skies, all the plans were thrown into disarray by the news of a tropical storm rolling in. Conner and Marcie could have had all kinds of reactions. But they decided that nothing could ruin their day. We went with the flow and focused on enjoying the celebrations no matter what. So, their friends and family broke out the umbrellas, and they followed through with their outdoor ceremony – smiling through the rain!
One of the best parts of the day was running around in the rain on the beach at sunset taking couples portraits. By that point, they had decided to lean into the atmosphere and fully embrace a rainy Carillon Beach wedding. So, there was so much joy in these shots!
Instead of an outdoor reception, they pivoted all their plans and packed their friends and family into a small room to dance and celebrate. This wedding was a true testament to not sweating the small stuff: to focusing on their marriage rather than a perfect celebration.
